How do we learn outside the classroom at Orrets?

At Orrets Meadow, our curriculum is constantly being adapted to meet the needs of our children and growing community. Teachers plan multi-sensory lessons and activities in and outside the classroom. We organise a range of activities on site and off school grounds to meet the aims of learning outside  the classroom.

Learning Outside the Classroom is using places other than the classroom for teaching and learning - indoors and outside, on-site or further afield. For example:

• School grounds
• Your local learning area - religious buildings, shops, natural spaces
• Places further afield - on day visits to museums, theatres,
heritage sites, field and adventure centres
• Residentials
• Visitors, events and interactive virtual sessions.
